The true and tragic love of Edith Ellsworth and the infamous Oklahoma Territory outlaw, Bill Doolin. Fate brought them together but destiny would rip them apart. Edith, the daughter of a devout itinerate preacher, loved Bill Doolin, the most notorious outlaw that Oklahoma Territory would ever know. The undaunted lovers shared three tempestuous years together, dodging bullets, bounty hunters, and deputies, keeping their marriage secret from all but a few of their most trusted loved ones. Through courtship, marriage, pregnancy, gunfights, childbirth, devotion, and betrayal, Edith and Bill lived and loved to the fullest proportion, never losing faith in each other or in their future together. Despite insurmountable hardships and obstacles, they remained profoundly devoted to one other and to their young son, right up until the unthinkable end.
