She was also known for her piety and her devotion to the poor and sick. Despite facing opposition from the Church and the French monarchy, Angelique remained steadfast in her beliefs and her commitment to her community.Boyd's biography provides a detailed account of Angelique's life and the historical context in which she lived. He draws on a wide range of primary sources, including letters and diaries, to paint a vivid picture of her personality and her impact on the world around her.
