Angels Can Hate Too (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781835632895)

'Human beings are part of each other, In creation, of the same essence. If one is in pain, the others cannot remain painless. If one remains unaffected by other's ache, one cannot be called a human.' With the sweetness of Persian words melting in mouth and taking your imagination to the picturesque rural Iran, this book gives a short glimpse of the struggles Iranians had to go through in bringing down the monarchy and the times of separation loved ones faced during the Iran-Iraq War. Among the chaos is a small village of Sar-Kooh, where the great Khan is not only concerned about the well-being of his people, but also facing consistent conspiracies being protruded against him by the SAVAC members. His flourishing empire is a source of jealousy for the Kadkhoda, whose negativity can reach any limit to bring down the Khan. On the other hand are faithfuls... their loyalty unfathomable to the Khan and his family.

A strong bonding between masters and peasants opens gates to new ties of love, relationships and connections purer than blood. The strong family culture of Iran and the respect for their traditions is a key element of this beautiful book that makes the reader think about morality and human interaction from a different perspective.
