She is an adjunct faculty member at both Pacifica Graduate Institute and Antioch University, Los Angeles where she teaches dissertation development and qualitative research methods. Karey's doctoral work was on the archetypal aspects of play, which focused on the death/rebirth process and was based on the work of Drs. Stanislav Grof and Richard Tarnas. Karey is currently creating a game to dream this work onwards, and make it more accessible to others.
