Apocryphon of James (Secret Book of James): The Secret Book of Early Christian Wisdom - Uncovering the Hidden Teachings of Christ, the Mysteries of th (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781807924225)

In The Apocryphon of James, readers are invited to step into a hidden, sacred conversation. Discovered among the legendary Nag Hammadi codices, this rare apocryphal text purports to record a private discourse given by Jesus to his brother James and the apostle Peter, taking place 500 days after the resurrection and just before his final ascension. Long suppressed by orthodox authorities and lost to history for nearly two millennia, this "Secret Book" challenges conventional interpretations of the early church and offers a radically inward-looking path to salvation.

Far more than a simple historical artifact, The Apocryphon of James delves deeply into the psychology of faith, the necessity of spiritual wakefulness, and the courage required to face worldly persecution. Through a series of vivid parables and direct warnings, the Savior urges his disciples to reject the illusions of the material world, to embrace the spiritual significance of the cross, and to strive for "fullness" over "deficiency."
