Archoi: Telepathic Portals to Distant Worlds (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798370326738)

Telpher - Telepathic Teleportation
Archoi - Fifth Dimension Being
Which will decide the fate of humanity?

Shawna Tang is telepathic. There are other telepaths in the galaxy, but Shawna is unique. With her gift she uses a fifth-dimension machine, the Telpher, to teleport people anywhere in the galaxy. The Telpher revolutionizes galactic commerce and culture, but the Galactic Federation must recruit more telepaths with Shawna's ability to insure equity and economic stability. The Federation asks Shawna and her geophysicist mate, Ethan Styrnak, to go out into the galaxy to find those telepaths. Will Shawna's journey satisfy her yearning for discovery or propel her into an alternate universe undreamed of, entangling her with powers that do not have at heart the best interests of humankind?

The Archoi have waited patiently for millennia to take humankind to the next step in their evolution-a step They believe will bring peace and justice. When the Archoi meet Shawna They think the time has come. But Shawna isn't who They think she is, and it isn't the right time. Will Their mistake spell the end of all of Shawna's dreams or bring fulfillment on a scale she can't conceive? If she accepts the offer of the Archoi to aid her in her struggle to bring justice to forgotten people will she risk setting in motion events that could tragically affect the lives of everyone she loves?

TELPHER SERIES
Archoi is the third book in a character-driven space opera series. The series evokes time travel to lost worlds, discovery of exotic new elements, starships that span interstellar distances in a matter of days without FTL, telepathic teleportation, the fifth dimension, and innovative science. There is greed and corruption, crusades to give equality to marginalized peoples, and the search for meaning behind the stars. The novels are each standalone but are best read in sequence:

PRAISE FOR TELPHER SERIES

Telpher:
"As the first novel from this author I cannot wait to see more. The opening chapter dramatically sets the stage for the unfolding creative and intriguing experience. The characters have a richness and depth and the challenges they face are so gripping it is difficult to put the book down. Eckroad's engineering and scientific background enhances and brings credibility to the space and time transformation aspects underlying the narrative and to the unexpected conclusion." - Alan Lauder, Ph.D., BMA, Executive Director, Coalition for the Commercial Application of Superconductors.

"In the middle of the last century, physicists Albert Einstein and Neils Bohr debated the premise that quantum theory could predict "action at a distance." Einstein labelled the whole idea "spooky." Read Steve Eckroad's Telpher and the interstellar/time-dilated dialogs between Jana, James, Sonja and Sergei, then decide for yourself whether Neils or Albert were right!" - Dr. Paul M. Grant, IBM Research Manager and EPRI Science Fellow, Emeriti.

Copernicium-296:
"This second book in a series by Steven Eckroad tells about a conceptual future that is different from other science fiction projections. He introduces some novel concepts. Most importantly is the one that telepathy is related to teleportation. The methodology of the Telpher process is nicely woven into a story of politics, greed, and love. The book is an easy read and the story is intriguing." - William V. Hassenzahl, PhD, President Advanced Energy Analysis

"A great sequel to Telpher. Steven has a unique way of integrating just enough astrophysics that makes you pay attention to the science while still weaving an engaging tale. I thoroughly enjoyed the transport." - Chris Valentino, MSPH, COO of Pacific Inpatient Medical Group (Retired)
