Randy is the co-author of The History of the Tidewater Striders Running Club, 1972-2012 and author of Hip! Hip! Hooray! I'm Running Again. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1971 and competed in track, cross country, and the marathon at Pittsburg State University in Kansas. Randy has a Master's Degree in Health and Physical Education and has been retired from teaching since 2002. Randy ran 15 marathons with a PR of 2:29:14 and was inducted into the Tidewater Striders Hall of Fame in 2011.
