Originally from Frankfort, Kentucky, Myshel Wilkins traveled with her missionary father and Ghanaian mother to various countries, speaking and leading worship from an early age.
Myshel graduated from Tennessee State University, where she earned a degree in political science. She was crowned Miss TSU and in the same year won the prestigious national title of Miss National Black Hall of Fame. She later earned a master's degree in organizational leadership from The Kings Seminary at The King's University in Southlake, Texas. After moving to Nashville, Tennessee, and graduating from college, Myshel entered the Christian music arena, vocally supporting household names. She's toured with many artists, including Don Moen, Matthew West, TobyMac, and Mandisa. For several years, she has traveled and led worship with Beth Moore's team. Opportunities later became available to Myshel to speak at retreats and conferences in addition to leading worship. Her mentor, Cece Winans, is quoted as saying, "It's a blessing to see what God is doing in the younger generation! Myshel is truly an anointed young woman, and to experience her ministry is life-changing." Myshel and her husband, Michael, live in Dallas, Texas, and currently attend Upper Room ministries. She continues to serve the exploited and underserved through missions in several countries. Thanks for subscribing!
