As You Are, So Once Was I: Lessons From Life, Death, and the Space In Between (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798218698355)

What if the life you're meant to live isn't waiting somewhere ahead, but already unfolding in the small, ordinary moments of your life?

What if the breakthroughs that matter most don't come from chasing something more, but from recognizing what has been within you all along?

And what if the moments that shape us most aren't the loud ones, but the quiet choices we make when no one is watching?

In As You Are, So Once Was I: Lessons from Life, Death, and the Space Between, Dr. Eldar Spahic reflects on the experiences that test people at their limits and reveal what truly matters.

Part medical memoir, part endurance journey, and part philosophical exploration, the book moves between hospital rooms, long-distance races, and deeply personal moments of adversity. Through encounters with patients facing life's most difficult circumstances, as well as the discipline required in endurance sport, Dr. Spahic explores how resilience, responsibility, and meaning are built over time.

Rather than offering quick inspiration, As You Are, So Once Was I asks deeper questions:

- What gives a life meaning?

- How do people find strength when circumstances feel impossible?

- What separates those who endure from those who give up?

- And how do small decisions shape the course of an entire life?

Honest, reflective, and deeply human, this book invites readers to pause, look inward, and consider the quiet choices that shape who they become.

Because in the end, your life is still being written.

And every step you take matters.
