Ashes to Fire: Volume 2 (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798900133980)

"Dan Sharp has provided our church and family with a biblically rich and reflective resource, urging us to go deeper with Christ during this important liturgical season. I know this book will bless many!"

--Laura Story, Contemporary Christian Musician, Georgia

Priorities and time are frequent topics in heartfelt discussions. The result is that we are often trying to fit our spiritual lives into our daily routines rather than the other way around. A walk through the Christian Year gives us a Holy Spirit perspective on the sacred nature of time. The Christian life is about burrowing deeper and deeper into our faith.

With a seasonally chosen passage for each day between Ash Wednesday and Pentecost, a thoughtful, perceptive commentary on the Scripture, a QR code linking a vocal or choral piece of music appropriate for the day, and a concluding prayer from a past saint or current "sinner" provide the primary purpose of this book--namely, to have a daily encounter with the Lord and to hear his voice. Ashes to Fire follows Advent to Ashes, Vol.1 in the four-book series, Uncommon Devotions.

"I have followed the Lord for over 70 of my 92 years and have been privileged to study and teach the Bible to many in my life, having shared the gospel truths to people groups in over 30 countries. The insights of many commentators have helped me, but none more than the devotionals of Dan Sharp. His insights have enriched my relationship with the Lord and guided my walk in following Jesus."
