Bob Walsh is a devout Roman Catholic, well educated in the faith and in good standing with the Church. One of twelve children, he grew up in a small, four room apartment in the Yorkville section of New York City's east side. Bob married his teenage sweetheart, Margie Holly, and together they raised their three children while he worked as a bank executive on Wall Street. When his parents died at an early age, Bob and Margie also raised Bob's younger sisters. Following his career on Wall Street, Bob served as a U.S. Goodwill Ambassador to Russia and Ukraine. He was a prolife candidate for Governor of New York in 1994 and for U.S. Congress in 2000. In his parish of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Deer Park, Long Island, New York, Bob has served as a Eucharistic Minister since 1978, a Director of the Respect Life Ministry, a member of the Holy Name Society, a Catechist, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
