Sabino Perea Yébenes holds a PhD in Ancient History from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He has taught at several Spanish universities as a Senior Lecturer. He is currently full Professor of Ancient History at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in Madrid, where he is also Director of the Department of Ancient History and Director of the Research Group "Res Publica et Res Sacra". The main lines of research are the Roman army, pagan religions, political history and institutions. He is the author of more than 25 books as sole author and 10 as coordinator. He has translated 6 books into Spanish, from various languages; has published more than 200 research papers, in journals or book chapters, in Spain and Europe. In 1998 he founded the publishing house "Signifer Libros", specialized in studies of Classical Antiquity. He is currently working on several future books on Roman history.
