Baptism: Truths Beyond the Waters (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798275276602)

This book is a biblical explanation of the meaning and purpose of baptism. It also deals with who should be baptized and when. It treats most if not all of the passages in the Bible that deal with the subject of baptism.

• What did the Greek word for baptism mean when Jesus used it?
• What did it mean when the apostles and writers of the New Testament used it?
• What do biblical examples teach us about the meaning of the word?
• What does the Bible teach us by direct commandment about the reason a person should be baptized?
• What are the arguments against this view?
• Should babies be baptized?
• Why were the baptisms in the Bible done immediately?
• Why do pastors in many denominations wait months or even years before baptizing someone?
• Is the pattern of salvation as taught in the Bible still applicable today?

Randy Short has believed in and taught the biblical meaning and purpose of baptism for more than 49 years. Most of those years were spent in Brazil as a missionary where he baptized 100s if not 1,000s of people and established many congregations. He knows what the Bible says about baptism and you will as well when you read this book and especially the passages of Scripture it points to. Many of the simple truths he teaches in this book are illustrated through graphics and images he created.
