Bare Skin

Evan never planned to be seen.

Big-bodied, careful, and painfully aware of how much space he takes up, he arrives at Bare Horizons telling himself this is just a vacation-a place to disappear for a while, not to be noticed, not to be wanted. Nudity is supposed to be freeing. For Evan, it's terrifying.

Mateo Rivera sees him anyway.

Behind the bar at Bare Horizons, Mateo is all steady confidence and quiet heat, a man who understands desire but doesn't rush it. He doesn't leer. He doesn't reassure. He simply looks at Evan like his body isn't something to apologize for-and that changes everything.

What begins as charged glances and hesitant conversations deepens into something slower, heavier, and impossible to ignore. As Evan confronts his fear of being visible-in his body, in his wants, in his truth-Mateo offers something far more dangerous than lust: presence. Choice. Claiming.

But wanting someone in the open means risking the one thing Evan has always protected himself from.

Being seen without conditions.

Bare Skin is a sensual, body-aware slow-burn romance about desire without shame, intimacy without erasure, and the courage it takes to stand fully exposed-physically and emotionally-beside the person who chooses you back.
