Bartimaeus the Bat

Learning to Trust the Lord

Can a tiny bat teach a child how to trust God?

Bartimaeus is a little bat with a very big fear.

Tonight is the night he must let go of the only branch he has ever known and fly for the very first time. But what if he falls? What if he isn't ready?

With the loving encouragement of his father, Bartimaeus discovers the amazing way God designed bats with everything they need to survive. As he learns about God's wonderful creation, he also hears the inspiring true Bible account of blind Bartimaeus-the man who trusted Jesus and received his sight.

Will the little bat find the courage to let go?

Beautifully illustrated in a timeless watercolor and colored-pencil style, Bartimaeus the Bat gently teaches children that faith is not the absence of fear-it is trusting the Lord even when we cannot see what lies ahead.
