Benny's Big Stretch: A story about resilience, courage and bouncing forward. (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798175039741)

What happens when the rubber band who always bounces back ... can't?
Benny is a cheerful little orange rubber band who loves helping in his busy classroom. Stretch him, pull him, twist him-he always bounces back!
Until one day, a big bundle of pencils becomes an even bigger challenge. When things go wrong again and again, Benny begins to wonder whether he has lost his bounce.
With gentle encouragement from his friend Pippa the Paper Clip, Benny discovers that being strong can mean stopping, taking a breath, asking for help and trying another way.
Benny's Big Stretch is a warmly illustrated story about resilience, friendship and being kind to yourself when life feels hard. It reassures children that they don't have to bounce back straight away-and that needing help is nothing to be ashamed of.
Alongside Benny's story, simple reflection prompts, a Bounce Forward Plan and a note for grown-ups invite families and teachers to keep the conversation going.
A thoughtful read-aloud for home, the classroom and social-emotional learning.
Sometimes, after a big stretch, we do more than bounce back. We learn. We grow. We bounce forward.
