Between the Towans
Finding Love Where the Towans Meet the Sea

The sea cannot erase the past. Sometimes it can show you how to begin again.

Iris Nansloe has built a quiet life among the windswept Towans of Cornwall, the wild sand dunes that shape this stretch of Atlantic coastline. By day she cares for the coastal lodges scattered across the shoreline. By night she returns to the weather worn cottage her grandparents once filled with laughter, love and the quiet kind of belonging that feels harder to find in the modern world.

Her days follow the rhythm of the sea. Early mornings on the beach. Long walks with her loyal dog. Evenings spent turning fragments of sea glass into delicate pieces of art she has never shown anyone.

Love, she believes, belonged to another generation. A kind that lasted. A kind she no longer trusts.

Then Rafi Cyrillian arrives.

A London photographer carrying grief and the weight of a life that has quietly unravelled, Rafi comes to the Cornish coast searching for distance from everything he has left behind. Instead he finds Iris, barefoot and sea salted, slowly rebuilding her life one careful step at a time.

As their paths begin to cross among shifting dunes, long summer evenings and the wide skies of St Ives Bay, something unexpected begins to grow between them.

But the Towans move to their own rhythm, and not every heart heals at the same pace.

When another man offers Iris the steady future she once believed she wanted, both must decide whether love is something to protect themselves from or something worth risking everything for.

Set against the raw beauty of Cornwall's Atlantic coast, Between the Towans is a heartfelt story of second chances, belonging and the courage it takes to open your heart again.

Perfect for readers who enjoy emotional coastal fiction, slow burn romance and stories filled with community, healing and the timeless pull of the sea.

Inspired by the coastline of Hayle and Gwithian Towans in Cornwall.
