Beyond Reason: Echoes from the Edge of Thought: Poems of a Woman's Awakening from Narcissistic Illusion to Rebirth (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798310436688)

Beyond Reason - Echoes from the Edge of Thought
A Poetic Journey of Survival and Transformation

A Voice Reclaimed

This collection is the voice of a woman stepping into the second half of her life.. It is an intimate exploration of emotional entrapment and psychological resilience, shaped by the invisible scars left by a relationship with a pathological narcissist. What begins as a poetic diary of pain evolves into a testament of strength, a reclamation of self, and a powerful statement against silence.

Each poem is a fragment of an emotional mosaic-sharp, ethereal, raw, and hauntingly beautiful. Some verses cut like blades, exposing hidden wounds, while others cradle the reader in dreamlike contemplation. There are echoes of jazz improvisation, Vedic philosophy, Dante's Commedia, and the rebellious energy of the Dada movement, all woven into a tapestry of introspection and artistic defiance.

Themes That Resonate
Beyond Reason moves between personal experience and universal truth. The poems reflect on the intoxicating allure of love and the slow erosion of self-worth in the hands of manipulation. They illuminate the darkness of psychological abuse, yet they also celebrate the dawn of self-awareness. This collection speaks to those who have lived through emotional turmoil, who have battled gaslighting and control, and who have fought to reclaim their truth.

Through poems like Hypocrisy, Denied Empathy, and Winter Moon, Ulpiani captures the delicate balance between vulnerability and defiance, crafting imagery that lingers long after the last page is turned. The rhythmic pulse of these verses mimics the heartbeat of someone who has endured, faltered, and risen anew.

A Literary and Artistic Fusion

Ulpiani's background as an abstract painter enriches her poetic language, infusing each line with vivid, sensory detail. Just as a brushstroke can shift the entire mood of a canvas, her words blend color and sound, creating an immersive experience for the reader. Her poetry does not merely tell a story; it paints emotions, allowing readers to navigate their own interpretations and connections.

Her journey from Italian to English poetry mirrors the transformation within the collection itself-a reinvention, a rediscovery. These are not simple translations but reimaginings, where language becomes fluid, adaptable, and deeply evocative.

More Than Poetry-A Testament to Healing

The origins of these poems are deeply personal. Initially shared in late-night bursts on social media, they were raw attempts to articulate confusion and betrayal. Over time, they crystallized into a cohesive narrative-one that extends beyond personal suffering and enters the broader conversation on narcissistic abuse, emotional manipulation, and psychological recovery.

For those who have walked this path, Beyond Reason is more than a book-it is a companion. It is for the reader who has known silence, who has questioned reality, who has felt the weight of love turned into a weapon. But it is also for those who seek light, who embrace transformation, who believe in the power of creation as an act of defiance.
