Beyond the Walls 2025: New Writing from York St John University (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781915606617)

Fourteenth edition of the annual anthology written, curated and produced by students at York St John University.

"In Beyond the Walls 2025, the mind is revealed in all its glorious contradictions. It is a festival of selves. These writers show us that the mind, like Milton's Heaven and Hell, is not merely a place we inhabit, but something we shape, for better or worse, with every thought, every memory, real or imagined. To have a mind is to live at the mercy of its power, to endure it, yes, but also to revel in its creativity.

It is a privilege to accompany these writers as they venture beyond the safe walls of certainty, beyond the walls of our academy, and the city, to confront the mind's mysteries head-on. I invite you, reader, to do the same: to step beyond your own walls, to risk being unsettled, and to discover what new worlds your mind might yet create."
