As a teacher and educational psychologist, Lawrence J.W. Cooper was known for his innovative teaching and counseling approach and was invited to speak about it in Europe and North America. During his fifteen years in school administration and counseling, he developed programs to help integrate students with a wide range of disabilities into regular classrooms. He also taught English Literature, History and Psychology to homebound high school students who did not fit into the regular classroom environment due to physical or mental health issues.
