The core of this book focuses on the Lidar Data Viewer (LDV) method compared with TreeVaW method and how it is effective in tree mapping that is the process matching Lidar-derived tree top with ground-derived tree base. The tree mapping will help create regression models fitting tree ground DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) on Lidar-derived height applying to two major species in redwood stands: redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) and Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii).
