Brice Austin was born in Nashville, Tennessee and holds an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Portuguese from Vanderbilt University. He is a graduate of the M.A. Creative Writing program at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he won a Henfield/Transatlantic Review award for fiction. He has since published short stories in a number of literary quarterlies, as well as one collection of stories, The Afterlife Road (Owl Canyon Press, 2012). He is also the author of Must, volume 1 of the Must Trilogy (Cadifus Books, 2015). He lives in Broomfield, Colorado with his wife and three children, a Holland mini-lop rabbit named Helen, and Darwin, a green-cheeked conure with "small parrot's syndrome."
