After the tragic death of a fisherman, Tom Blackwell returns to work at his law firm in a small town, where he tries his best to avoid Emily. She broke his heart by not telling him about her marriage, and now they both feel an awkward tension whenever they cross paths. Meanwhile, Cassidy, Tom's daughter, is growing up fast and still as sassy as ever, bringing some much-needed humor to their lives.

Just when it seems like life is returning to normal, the head of the local PTA is found murdered. Emily begs for Tom's help in solving the case, and despite his initial reluctance, he agrees to join forces with her once again. As they delve deeper into the investigation, they uncover a web of lies and deceit within the community, leading them to suspect that the murderer could be someone they know.

The conflict rises as Tom and Emily work together to piece together the clues and identify the killer before anyone else falls victim. The stakes are high as they race against time, trying to catch the criminal before it's too late. Along the way, they face numerous obstacles and challenges, including resistance from those who don't want them to uncover the truth.

As the story reaches its climax, Tom and Emily find themselves in grave danger as they confront the murderer face-to-face. Will they be able to apprehend the killer and bring justice to the victim's family? Or will they fall victim to the same fate?

In this gripping gumshoe novel, every major plot twist is revealed, from the inciting incident of the murder to the tense confrontation between Tom and the killer. The characters are fully developed, with Tom and Emily's complicated relationship at the heart of the story. Cassidy adds an element of lightheartedness to the otherwise serious tone of the novel.

Overall, Such a PTA, is a thrilling mystery that will keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
