Blazing Ground: A Young Adult Dystopian Thriller (Prequel to the Newland Trilogy) (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781915981387)

She can't save the world.

But maybe she can save the books.

Seventeen-year-old Lea is just trying to survive as the world unravels, keeping her family safe while the streets fill with chaos. When tragedy shatters what little stability she has left, Lea is thrown into darkness.

In a nation ruled by the New Day Party, books are illegal, burned by the Finders to create a new future. Saving them is Lea's desperate rebellion - and her only hope. But when she meets Faze, a boy whose family has been taken by the Party, Lea is faced with an impossible choice: protect the books she loves, or risk everything to help save his family.

As the country descends into devastation and the Party closes in, Lea and Faze are forced on the run. With danger at every turn, Lea must decide how much she's willing to sacrifice: for freedom, for family, for justice, and for the stories that keep her alive.

Blazing Ground is a stand-alone prequel to the Newland Trilogy.
