Blind Spots: Avoid Life's Snares! (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798389351158)

Common misconceptions and other mental blind spots cause problems in our lives, personally, in families, and nationally and internationally. All too often we pay attention to publicity or other red herrings while not noticing more important issues; and in some cases, we misunderstand what we do see. This book points out many of those problems and suggests how to avoid them. Real world examples, some humorous, illustrate many of the problems.

The author draws on decades of experience, combined with formal study. His background includes missionary work, three degrees in physics, work in high tech, years as a mountain rescue volunteer, and raising a family.

The first chapter includes the quotes:

Experience keeps a dear school, but fools will learn in no other.
Benjamin Franklin

We all learn from experience. The wise learn from the experience of others, fools insist on learning only from their own experience - if they learn at all.
Hal Lillywhite

This book will help readers be among those who learn from the experience of others.
