Bodily Healing and the Atonement (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781025393872)

"Bodily Healing and the Atonement" is a profound theological examination that explores the biblical relationship between physical health and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. T. J. McCrossan presents a scholarly and scriptural argument that the promise of bodily healing is fundamentally included within the Atonement, just as the forgiveness of sins is. By analyzing the original Greek and Hebrew texts, the work seeks to prove that Christ's suffering was intended to provide for the physical well-being of the believer as well as their spiritual salvation.

The text delves into key passages from both the Old and New Testaments, offering a meticulous study of the language used to describe infirmity and restoration. It serves as a cornerstone for understanding various Pentecostal and Charismatic perspectives on divine healing, challenging traditional views and inviting readers to reconsider the extent of divine grace. "Bodily Healing and the Atonement" remains an influential text for theologians, pastors, and any individual seeking a deeper scriptural basis for the ministry of healing within the Christian faith. This insightful study emphasizes the enduring power of faith and the holistic nature of redemption.
