C. S. Copland has spent over thirty years working in various capacities for international aid agencies. In 1993 he served as the President of Canadian Feed the Children and in that role visited the refugee camps in Bosnia where Feed the Children International was providing emergency shipments of food, blankets, medicines, and clothing. He also travelled to Rwanda, Somalia, Haiti, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and over one hundred countries throughout the world as a staff member or volunteer with several aid organizations. He continues to be actively interested in international aid and now works as an independent writer and consultant related to that field and to political activities in Canada and the United States.
