Brass Pole Revelations: A Novella (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798175155625)

THE NOVELLA EDITION

Cash, nylons, and body spray. A couch never felt so good.

On Robert's first night at Vinyl Couches, owner Dan tells him that every strip club has an asshole. Then he introduces him to Grant Vale.

Grant is cruel, intelligent, impossible to ignore, and, at least for now, indispensable. From his table beneath the red light, he controls a world populated by dancers, hustlers, lonely men, self-appointed saviors, and broken toys who have learned how to survive one another. Robert's job is to watch, listen, and discover which rules matter, which rules can be bought, and which people are more dangerous when they believe they are helping.

But beneath the club's profanity, absurdity, and relentless transactions lies an unexpected code of loyalty. When that code fails one of their own, the people of Vinyl Couches are forced to confront what they have become, and what remains of them when the lights come on.

Darkly funny, unapologetically profane, and unexpectedly humane, Brass Pole Revelations enters a world that refuses to make itself respectable for the reader's comfort.
