Highly recommended for fans of Christian fiction, supernatural thrillers, and anyone interested in stories of transformation and spiritual victory.

Dawn McIntyre built her career challenging Christianity. She never expected God to answer.

A nationally syndicated radio host and accomplished civil rights attorney, Dawn has become one of the country's most outspoken critics of the Church. Her voice reaches millions, and she has never hesitated to use it. But when a defiant challenge to God leads to fifteen terrifying minutes she cannot explain, everything Dawn believes about the world begins to unravel.

She has seen something that should not exist.

And something has changed inside her.

Marcus Dillon, an internationally renowned Christian musician, has felt an inexplicable calling to reach Dawn despite everything she has said about people like him. When their paths finally converge, Marcus discovers that Dawn's encounter was only the beginning. Together, they uncover a mysterious ability to open a window into the unseen spiritual realm, revealing a war raging around humanity that most people will never see.

But Dawn has little time to understand what is happening to her.

Haunted by the life she once lived and determined to repair the damage she left behind, she sets out to find her estranged sister, Amy. What begins as a desperate attempt at reconciliation soon leads Dawn and Marcus into something far more dangerous: an occult underworld intertwined with a human-trafficking operation where vulnerable lives are bought, sold, and discarded.

Someone does not want Amy found.

And the deeper Dawn and Marcus go, the more they realize the evil confronting them is not merely human.

Their search will take them into a darkness neither is prepared to face, where earthly predators are only part of the enemy and the line between the physical and spiritual worlds is beginning to disappear. With lives hanging in the balance and powerful forces closing in around them, Dawn and Marcus must decide how far they are willing to go, and how much they are willing to sacrifice, to rescue one woman from a darkness determined to keep her.

Breaking the Darkness, Book One of the Open Windows Series, is a supernatural Christian thriller of spiritual warfare, human trafficking, redemption, and the unseen battle between good and evil.
