These organisations include Deaf Children Australia, the Victorian Deaf Education Institute and Aurora School for deaf and hard of hearing children. It was while working for Deaf Children Australia that she discovered the desperate need for a practical, hands on guide that would help hearing parents raise their deaf and hard of hearing children.
