Budtenders Confession: A Transgender Love Story (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798278180326)

Neil, a 23-year-old transgender man working in the burgeoning legal marijuana market in Colorado, finds himself attracted to his heterosexual coworker, John. As Neil grapples with these feelings, he begins to doubt his own transition, remembering his life before transitioning as Amanda. His therapy group advises him to explore these feelings before undergoing any further irreversible medical procedures. Neil devises a plan to reveal his past identity as Amanda to John, inviting him for drinks after work. Neil transforms into Amanda for the meeting, presenting as a woman, which initially catches John off guard and leads to anger when he realizes who it is.

Over drinks, Amanda works to convince John that her feelings are genuine and that she wishes to explore a relationship from a female perspective, seeking to de-transition. The story delves into the complexities of Neil's/Amanda's identity, attraction, and the courage it takes to confront one's true self. The resolution hinges on John's reaction and Amanda's ability to navigate this revelation and potential relationship, exploring the modern nuances of LGBTQ+ experiences.
