Buried, NOT Broken: A Journey from Survival to Self (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798187207374)

WARNING
Possible side effects of reading this book may include:

- Unexpected laughter at wildly inappropriate moments.

- Sudden emotional outbursts in coffee shops, on trains, or while pretending you're "just reading one chapter before bed."

- A strange desire to hug your inner child.

- Questioning beliefs you've carried for decades.

- Looking at your parents with a little more understanding... and yourself with a lot more compassion.

- An overwhelming urge to stop apologising for simply existing.

- The uncomfortable realisation that you've spent years being kinder to everyone else than you've ever been to yourself.

- A growing suspicion that you were never broken in the first place.

If symptoms persist...

Good.

That's where healing begins.

What if the goal isn't to forget your past...
What if it's to heal the pain and keep the wisdom?

For years, Jade Blake believed she was broken.

She searched everywhere for the missing piece. Therapy. Medication. Alcohol. Self-help books. More self-help books. Spirituality. Journals. Vision boards. Podcasts. Courses. Retreats. If healing had a loyalty card, she'd probably have earned a free holiday.

But no matter how much she learned...

She was still surviving.

Then one question changed everything.

What if nothing is wrong with me?

What if my anxiety wasn't weakness?

What if my addictions weren't failures?

What if my people-pleasing, perfectionism, hypervigilance and constant need to stay in control weren't character flaws...

But survival strategies?

Buried, Not Broken isn't another book that tells you to "just think positively."

And it isn't another trauma memoir that leaves you sitting in the pain.

It's a compassionate, honest, sometimes heart breaking, often funny journey from survival to self.

Through deeply personal stories, practical tools, professional insight, and gentle reflections, Jade invites you to understand not only what happened to you, but what became buried beneath it.

Because here's the truth.

Old keys don't open new doors.

If you've spent years trying to heal using the same patterns that helped you survive, perhaps it isn't you that's failing.

Perhaps you've simply been using yesterday's keys to unlock tomorrow's life.

Inside these pages you'll discover:

Why your nervous system may still be living in the past, even when your life has moved on.

How childhood experiences quietly shape the way we love, trust, parent, work and see ourselves.

Why healing isn't about becoming someone new, but remembering who you were before survival convinced you to forget.

Practical reflections, journaling prompts, meditations and exercises to help you move beyond understanding into transformation.

Why you can honour your past without allowing it to write your future.

This book will ask you to laugh.

It will invite you to cry.

It will challenge beliefs you've carried for years.

It may even encourage you to forgive the version of yourself who was only ever doing the best they could with what they knew at the time.

You don't need to erase your story.

You don't need to become somebody else.

You don't even need all the answers.

You simply need the courage to take one honest step.

Heal the pain.

Keep the wisdom.

Leave the shame behind.

Because the most important thing buried beneath your trauma...

Was never your pain.

It was you.

And perhaps...

It's time to come home.
