Edward S. Smith, Jr., is currently Regional Director for Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT. He is a NYS licensed Real Estate Broker, specializing in Commercial and Investment Real Estate, with over 38 years of brokerage experience. He previously had his own Brokerage firm and then served as a "Consultant to the Trade". This is the fifth book he has authored on commercial real estate, including three textbooks with instructor training materials used to teach commercial courses throughout the United States. Mr. Smith is an Instructors Training Institute (ITI) graduate and has 12 years experience teaching real estate courses. He has developed seven continuing education courses and is also an Instructor for NAR's GREEN Designation Commercial Elective course. Currently, a Director of the New York State Association of Realtors(R), he serves on many of their committees including: Legislative, Education and Commercial Issues; he previously served as NY Statewide RPAC Chairman. He serves on the Boards of Directors of: the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors(R) (NYSCAR), the Metro-Long Island Chapter of NYSCAR, the Long Island Commercial Network (LICN). He is Past President of: NYSCAR, the Metro-LI Chapter of NYSCAR and the LICN, and has served as a Director of the Long Island Board of Realtors(R) and the Real Estate Practitioners Institute at Long Island University. He is also a former Officer and Director of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS).
