I decided to incorporate black and white photographs into every page in order to provide a glimpse at the history. It was a real challenge coming up with images that made a point but did not distract from the illustrations. The combination of illustrations mixed with black and white photography has been a huge hit with children. It's different and they love it I also included in the book a place for them to draw their favorite holiday, list holiday traditions, and list their favorite gifts (given and received ). Great way to personalize the book and a fun way to look back at previous years
