The Editors: Raymond Courbis is Professor of Economics at the University Paris X, Nanterre, France. He developed the major early macromodels for France at the Commissariat du Plan. He is the founder of G.A.M.A. at the University Nanterre, the leading macroeconomic modelling and forcecasting center in France. Professor Courbis is world-wide known for his expertise in macroeconometric modelling.
Wladyslaw Welfe is Professor of Economics at the Institute of Econometrics and Statistics, University of Lódź, Poland. He is member - correspondent of the Polish Academy of Science. He received Dr. hc. of universities: Uppsala (1978), Lyon 2 (1997), Cracov Academy of Economics (1995). He is the founder of Lódź center for macromodelling, where under his supervision a series of annual W. models and newly quarterly WK models for Poland was built; they are systematically used in forecasting and scenario analyses.
