In the heart of a rural town in Texas, tragedy strikes when Tim, a truck driver, leaves his loyal pit bull, Bully, chained outside his trailer while he goes on the road. One fateful day, a curious 4-year-old girl named Sally wanders into the yard, only to be viciously attacked by the protective Bully. The town is thrown into chaos as neighbors and parents rush to the scene, unable to pry the dog off the terrified child. With no other choice, the authorities are called in, leading to a devastating outcome as Bully is shot dead in an effort to save Sally. The little girl survives, but with major injuries that require extensive rehabilitation. Tim returns home to face severe consequences, including fines and a ban on ever owning a dog in Texas. This gripping tale delves into themes of responsibility, tragedy, and the consequences of neglect in a serious and thought-provoking manner.
