Chalice in the Corner: First Puff (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798196025754)

One exhausted woman. Two cookies. A lost weekend. And a peace she never knew she needed.

Nichole Sterling is forty-seven, a civil engineer in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She spends her days herding cats in hard hats and her nights staring at the ceiling. The long weekend is supposed to be her reward. Then her husband Flexie offers her a "special cookie."

She says no. For years, she says no.

Until one Friday, she's too tired to refuse.

Two cookies later, she loses an entire weekend - and finds something she didn't know she was looking for.

Part memoir, part songbook, part love letter to Jamaica and grandmothers and the art of being still, Chalice in the Corner: First Puff is a novella about breaking down and healing slowly. Includes original songs performed by the author on YouTube.

"The herb doesn't make you lazy. It makes you still."
