xDick Wiser was a Chicago police officer for 27 years. He worked patrol, vice, tactical team and traffic. He started his career in the Englewood District and as per his request, returned there for his last few years on the job. During his career, among other awards he earned three Department Commendations and the Superintendent's Award of Valor. He is now enjoying his retirement with his wife of over fifty years. He has a son and a daughter. His son Rick, is currently a Lieutenant in the CPD's Detective Division.
