Christian and Catholic: Can you be a Born-Again Christian and a Catholic? I am! (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781677409914)

Discover a Church-approved grace alone, through faith alone, approach to Catholicism in this witness from Dan Tarrant, the founder of Personally Catholic and ReEngaged Ministries who can also be seen on CatholicTV. When describing his relationship with God as a Catholic Dan says: "I believe I am saved by grace alone, through faith alone, apart from works. And I am a practicing Catholic. I attend Mass every Sunday. I go to Confession weekly. I carry the Rosary and the New Testament in my pocket. I pray the Hail Mary countless times a day. I am an Evangelical Christian. I am also a Catholic. Not sure such a thing is possible? Listen to my story."This book, Christian and Catholic, has received the Nihil obstat and Imprimatur of the Catholic Church which means that its radical message of unity with Evangelical Christians and unique approach to living one's Catholicism has been deemed to contain nothing opposed to the Catholic faith and been officially approved for publication by the Catholic Church after a thorough and formal review process. This signifies this book's full fidelity to the Catholic faith for you, the reader. Whether you are a Catholic who has had a powerful experience of Christ in Evangelical settings but wants to stay connected to the Catholic Sacramental life or you are an Evangelical who simply wants to know if Catholics really can be Christian, this book is for you! Written with a genuine love for both Catholic and Evangelical Christians, this book is not a list of arguments or theological treatises that would cause division, but a personal witness to a relationship with Christ that has been blessed by both communities of faith and been fashioned into a better instrument for Christ serving in the Catholic Church because of it.In the book, Dan writes: "This book is not a trap to make Catholics into Protestants or Protestants into Catholics. It's simply one person sharing his story of meeting Christ in both communities with the hope that it would help us be more one. Perhaps if you're Catholic, you'll see that God intends Evangelical Christians to be a blessing to you... Perhaps if you're an Evangelical Christian, you'll see that God intends Catholics to be a blessing to you... Finally, perhaps we'll all come to see that we're more one than we could have ever imagined and in that oneness give God a greater glory than we ever could have divided. That is certainly what I have discovered. Here's my story."
