Achebe brings to light the real impact of the arrival of Christianity in his novels. It was merely politics rather than civilizing and giving the Gospel to the people. In Things Fall Apart Achebe makes it very much obvious to us that the white man arrived in their land not only to deliver the people from their sins but also to bring his government along with him. After the entry of Christianity, many customs and beliefs followed by the Igbo people were altered.
