Christianity and Buddhism: Two Paths One Ground (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781968401399)

Christianity and Buddhism: Two Paths, One Ground reveals the profound convergence of the two greatest wisdom traditions of humanity. Drawing on the suppressed Gnostic gospels (Nag Hammadi, Gospel of Thomas, Valentinus), early Christian mysticism, and the highest teachings of Buddhism (Sutra, Tantra, and especially Ati Dzogchen), David Paul Boaz demonstrates that Jesus' "Gnosis of Light" and the Buddha's teaching of rigpa-primordial, nondual awareness-are pointing to the very same ineffable Ground: the luminous, empty, all-pervading Presence that is our true nature.

Written for both the scholar and the sincere seeker, this book restores the esoteric heart of Christianity while illuminating the innermost secret of Buddhist realization. It shows, with clarity and compassion, that the Kingdom of God is within you and that you are already that which you seek-here, now, on this very ground.

A rare and timely bridge between East and West.
