Church Security: A Security Guide for Today's Church (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9789789821020)

Beginning of the Matter:
Church Security - A Guide for Today's Church is a timely, faith-centered call for the modern Church to take security seriously without losing sight of God as the ultimate protector.

Born out of a 2007 security awareness talk to church ushers and protocol officers in Abuja, this book confronts a difficult but unavoidable reality: faith and vigilance must work together. Drawing extensively from Scripture, the author shows that throughout the Bible from Eden, to the Temple gatekeepers, to Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem God's people prayed and posted guards. Watchfulness was never a lack of faith; it was an act of wisdom.

In an age marked by theft, fraud, violence, kidnapping, arson, and even attacks on churches and clergy, this book challenges the Church to move beyond denial and complacency. It addresses traditional, current, and emerging threats facing congregations today, emphasizing that "anointing without security is a folly," just as faith without action is dead.

More than a manual, Beginning of the Matter is a mindset shift urging church leaders, ushers, and members to embrace responsible security planning while trusting God to strengthen what they put in place. It is a practical, scriptural grounded guide that calls the Church to wisdom, awareness, and action in safeguarding lives, property, and the work of God.
