Steven A. Escontrias Armstrong, F.R.C., M.A. Hum., M.A., M.Div. is a popular lecturer, instructor, tutor, editor, consultant, spiritual counselor, celebrant, and author. He is a member of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. His concentration is on spirituality, mysticism, and associated topics. Steven has an academic and professional background in Classics, Philosophy, Literature, Theology, History and Eastern Christian spirituality and Pastoral work. He was educated at Brophy Prep, Yale, Fordham, Maryknoll, Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Weston School of Theology of Boston College, St. Gregory's Melkite Seminary, and the Graduate Theological Union. His current research interests include the Western Mystery Tradition in its many expressions, including the convergences of Western Esotericism, Earth-based traditions and Eastern Christian mysticism.
