'cleaning wounds with rosewater' is the debut poetry and prose collection from Ryan Keane. Dealing with themes such as loss, mental health, self-love, growth and healing, its aim is to offer light in a world bludgeoned by darkness. Containing both reasonably short and longer pieces, it transports the reader to a number of different places, such as the cherry blossom arboretums of Japan and glorious coffee shops. These creations also convey Ryan's story of living with anxiety and self-hatred, and how, through constructive recovery methods, he has managed to overcome many issues. This book is for those who are struggling to find the beauty in life and for those who feel as if only night skies have become their horizons.
