Climate Change: Manageable Problem or Slow Death of the Planet? European Union Role and Actions Until 2050-The Impact on Greece (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781790802760)

Climate change has ceased for a long time to be acknowledged as simply a phenomenon and has changed into a direct threat to every form of life on our planet. Indubitably, efforts for its efficacious confrontation by the European Union and the international community in general are evident, but is it now time for a more systematic intensification? Through this book, the author attempts to provide an answer on whether and to what extent the climate change issue is currently manageable. Causes and consequences are being presented, the European Union role is being analyzed, the entire spectrum of sectors directly or indirectly affected is being examined and an extensive reference to the impact on the already tortured by the economic and financial crisis Greece is being made. The author remains optimistic that the meticulous study he has conducted, the authoritative sources on which he has relied and the analytical tables presented, are capable of providing the reader with the coveted opportunity to constructively delve into the subject and draw his personal conclusions regarding the planet's future.
