Initially NO has published over 20 books. That's a nice decent shelf from an author who said from the age of four she wanted to be a book-maker. She's very motivated, innovative and expressive, but also, does know what's she's doing. Initially NO studied a BA in literature, focussed on poetry and novels, in that nuts and bolts science-way preferred by universities that like nice dry little essays about onomatopoeia, metre, metaphor, analogy, etymology, symbology... To get away from the dry and unemotional she studied and worked professionally as an actor. (But forget that, she doesn't do that anymore, too fake and neuroleptics killed her memory amongst other things). Interesting study though, acting, well worth understanding how emotions work, how to use your voice, sound authentic, substitute and move comfortably on stage. Don't expect her to do that anymore though! That wasn't enough study apparently, so she got a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing from RMIT. Learnt to be a damn fine editor, writer and desktop publisher there. However, people still questioned what Initially NO meant, and, continued locking her up and drugging her for being unusual, so she got her Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy. That nailed it. People can get all puffed-up about her innovative controversial thinking, her exposure of horrific denials, and quote all they like from their musty old bookflaps... Initially NO is qualified enough to know what's she's doing and makes more sense than the 'cream' who deny her author has worth. She also is an advocate for many people that are not being heard, who are being victim-blamed and shamed into silence. And, as serious as she can be, she's also raucously humorous. There's no list of prizes here given to Initially NO, any more than a list of literary journals and publishers, that's not her fault.
