Code of Points: Part thriller, part coming-of-age, Code of Points asks: what happens when performance stops being human? (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798270528652)

In Code of Points, teenage gymnast Sloane faces mounting pressure from both her sport and a new surveillance system called Spotter for Schools, an AI tool that tracks students and athletes under the guise of performance optimization. When her friend Priya, a tech-savvy skeptic, exposes the system's hidden connections to competitive gymnastics analytics, Sloane realizes her routines - and even her emotions - are being scored by algorithms.

With the help of her mentor Avery, a former Olympian still wrestling with her own injury and identity, Sloane learns to see gymnastics not as a series of numbers but as a form of rebellion against the machine logic dictating her worth. During a crucial meet, Priya disrupts the Spotter network, granting Sloane one fleeting minute of freedom mid-performance - a moment of artistry unmeasured by data.

Though the school district later suspends the pilot program, the story's conclusion at a late-night diner underscores a sobering truth: technology's intrusion into the human spirit can't be undone with a single decision. Code of Points is both a coming-of-age story and a quiet revolution - an exploration of friendship, resistance, and the fight to stay human in an age of metrics.
