Come, Let's take a walk (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798184934785)

Some stories take forty years to tell. This is one of them.

In Let's Take a Walk, Tamara Foster invites you into the most honest place she knows: the full, unspared truth of her own life. From a childhood defined by conditional love and unanswered anxiety, to the grip of crack cocaine addiction and the cold reality of homelessness, to the long and non-linear road home - this is a memoir that refuses to sanitize the journey in the name of a comfortable ending.

But it is also something else entirely. It is a book about what survives. About the inner child who held on when the adult could not. About the voice of grace that persisted through every dark night, quiet but unrelenting, insisting that the story was not over. About the God who did not leave when she did - and who was still there, waiting, when she found her way back.

Drawing on more than twenty-five personal journals and decades of hard-won clarity, Tamara writes with a voice that is raw, poetic, spiritually grounded, and profoundly compassionate. She does not preach. She does not perform. She simply tells the truth - and trusts that the truth, offered honestly, will find its way to the exact person who needs it.

Let's Take a Walk is for those in recovery, those loving someone through it, and those who simply need proof - real, lived, earned proof - that healing is possible. That the wilderness is not the end. That every step forward is a step toward light.

Tamara Foster reached back with her hand. Now it is your turn to take it.
