John Chrysostom (c. 347 - 14 September 407) Archbishop of Constantinople, was an important Early Church Father. The epithet Χρυσόστομος (Chrysostomos, anglicized as Chrysostom) means "golden-mouthed" in Greek and denotes his celebrated eloquence.
