Commodore Island Mysteries: The Case of the Grounded Ferry (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781970600056)

Jenny and her new friend Brinsly watch in disbelief as a two-thousand-passenger ferry veers off course and plows straight into the bank of Commodore Island. The lights go dark, emergency sirens blare, ferry workers fall to the car deck, and passengers cling tightly to the rails as the ferry grinds to a screeching halt along the rocky shore.

In the chaos that follows the girls recognize a classmate on the observation deck as red-headed Terrence, a boy from Brinsly's grade. They lock eyes for a moment until he suddenly turns and runs back inside in a panic. Before they have a chance to question what Terrence was doing alone on the ferry the girls see another man slide down the evacuation chute into the shallow water and flee into the woods.

When they learn from Jenny's mom that Terrence-the nephew of a coworker-has been reported missing, the girls are determined to get to the bottom of the island's latest mystery. Why didn't he try to get their attention? Who was the man that jumped ship? Could these strange behaviors have anything to do with why it lost control? And how far beyond the shores of Commodore does the crash reverberate?

In the third installment of the Commodore Island Mysteries, Brinsly's newfound confidence helps lead our sleuths on their most impactful case yet-an adventure that shows the power of true friendships.
